Dom's Driving School

I found Dom on google, then booked him for an intensive course.I waited for him for a month while he was on holiday and started on 1st sept 2 weeks later, I passed my test first time! This is all thanks to him and his 20 or so years of experience. My test route was exactly where he took me on my lessons, He is kind, patient and passionate about his job, a great motivator. Thanks again Dom and look forward to doing pass plus soon.

I was so nervous when I first started to learn how to drive and I did not think that I would ever get it, but Dom made me feel safe and relaxed. He is excellent at his job and I soon realised that I was in very safe hands with him and he helped build up my confidence - which was not an easy thing to do. I enjoyed all of my lessons with him, Dom always made me laugh and I passed first time with him. I will miss him and would recommend him to anyone who is wanting to learn how to drive!'

I chose Domenico first of all because he was offering the cheapest rate in my area & secondly because he can speak italian too (in case I was not going to understand some english terms :0)...When we had our first lesson I decided to keep him & booked 10 lessons straight away!...on that lesson I liked the fact he didn't waste time telling me stuff I could have learnt with the time, instead, after 10 mins of him driving & showing me the pedals & few bits he put me straight away behind the wheel!
I was scared and really nervous but I enjoyed it so much I was lookinf forward for my next lesson.
Slowly I could see myself improving from lesson to lesson and the more I was getting to know Domenico the more comfortable I was feeling driving.
Do bare in mind that he does shout at you from time to time...especially when you do silly mistakes, by that's just his italian temper...that's why I never minded
Up to now I cannot believe I did my licence in 4 & half months especially because friends were always telling me that it would have taken me at least a year!!!
The advice I can give to everyone is to never give up, even if you might not pass the first time & not to get scared of Domenico...he is a big lad but deep down he is like a teddy bear...Lol!!!!
If he shouts at you...just shout back!! Ha ha ha
I would and I am advising everyone that wants to get a licence to go to Domenico because he really is a good instructor & really wants you to pass first time...

Finally it's the end of my journey. with my driving lessons i nearly gave up as something inside me was telling me too. I even started thinking that driving wasn't for me but because of you Dom, I am who i am today, a qualified driver. The only thing that i can advise those who are willing to start taking driving lessons, it's that driving or passing your test doesn't depend on months or years that you been driving but it's when you are ready. It doesn't depend also on your money and having on 10 or 100+ just be patient and your day will come, as mine did. Thanks Dom because you didn't give up on me. No matter how slow leaner i was, you was still there for me and i wont forget that your shouting also helped. It was really fun learning to drive with you and to be honest i will miss you. Thanks Dom you really know your job.

Hi Dom thanks for all your help ,i am algirian and needed to pass my test for a job i booked a short notice test and then called Dom was the wrong thing to do but with his help and a lot of hard work we did it he is great guy and teaches very good techniques for all the manovers also thanks for the pass pluss it helped me to save £1000 on insurance Dom i will tell all my friends thanks.

I feel that I am very lucky to have met Dom. Before learning with Dom I had taken many lessons with some of the bigger driving schools. I had just moved to the UK and found it hard to understand the rules of the road here. When I learned with the bigger companies I felt that the level of teaching was good because the instructors told me I was a good driver and that I would pass my test easily.
However after failing my tests several times. I started to question my own capability and was considering giving up. I then saw Dom's driving school on the internet and was impressed with all the comments made by his former pupils. So I changed my driving instructor for the third time.
I honestly thought my driving and understanding was to a good standard but after my first lesson with Dom I was very upset because he told me my driving was dangerous because I did not understand many things. I was very angry with Dom and thought he wanted to make me spend lots of money learning with him. After 5 or so lessons I started to get angry with my previous instructors because it was clear to me that my previous teachers had not taught me correctly. Many things such as giving way to traffic coming from the right at roundabouts, how to notice changes in the road ahead by using the road signs and being in full control of the car at all times were things I had only just been taught by Dom even though I had done over 60 hours of lessons with other teachers.
Dom noticed my weak driving points straight away and made me face then repeatedly until I fully understood them. He has a very strict teaching method and often raises hi voice to get his point across, he also takes time to draw pictures to help explain his methods. He is a great teacher and I only wish I heard about him when I started learning. If you want to be a confident driver after passing your test use Dom. He told me not to quit and keep practicing and I Passed. THANKS DOM. I recommend you to everyone who is learning to drive.
